Answering The Call

By Eryka T. Johnson

I was at an incredible conference last night that got me to thinking about a subject so near to my heart. I can remember when I was fearful and did not fully trust God concerning the call on my life. It was better for me to not say ‘Yes’ because I understood that it meant full commitment.

Let’s think about this for a moment. How would life be if some key figures never answered the call? What if Jesus would have told his Father that He could not possibly save the world and destroy the works of the enemy? What if your mother and father would have made the decision to abort your life because they were not ready to be parents? What if your teacher-mentor would have decided to not hone his skill to be able to fully communicate it to you? Of course, the list of “what if’s” goes on…

The reality is this – when you answer the call, your life will immediately change for the better. You will not only be choosing to manifest what the Lord has spoken over your life, you too will be touching those individuals you have been ordained to positively impact. Your life is not the only one on the line here. It’s time to surrender, submit, obey, heed, accept, and acknowledge the call. An entire world is waiting on you.

If you have you been called to something bigger than yourself, start by understanding exactly what it is. Then, search your life to determine if there is anything holding you back or hindering you from accepting the challenge. This alone may take some time because you want to really deal with your motivations and heart condition. Finally, make a plan to manifest and begin executing it.
