For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. (Romans 10:13 AMP)

Sozo – means to Save

Eryka T. Johnson

As I slept, I was translated into a dream. As my eyes opened, I was in a huge field. As far as the eye could see, there were green tents everywhere. It appears I was at a military camp. However, I was not alone. My entire family, blood and extended, was there as well.

Gun shots, bombs, missiles, and fighting were all around. My first thought was to get my entire family to safety. Somehow, we found a vacate building in the middle of the military camp. The walls were made of glass and we had to walk through 3 doors to get to the common area where we would finally be safe. We made it. As soon as the thought crossed our minds, there enters an armed gunman. His weapon was huge and could instantly take us out. I screamed, “run, run…” But it was too late he had made it to the common area. When he entered the common area, my body begins to suspend in the air and the only individual with me was my grandmother. It appears I was holding her in my arms. We begin to fly through the ceiling of the building out in the airspace. As we descended up, we could see destruction all around. Only two of us had escaped the danger.

This account was a dream I had that led me to the Lord. He tried to reach me in so many ways yet I was happy living the way of the world. When I woke up, I was literally terrified. My heart was racing and my face was covered in tears. My mind immediately went to the one person in my family that had already met the Lord and desperately prayed for the rest of us. I called my aunt and shared the dream along with the other events that had taken place in my life. She explained the meaning and asked if I wanted to receive Christ into my life. I responded quickly with “YES”. I prayed a prayer of salvation similar to this one…

Father, I am a sinner in desperate need of a Savior. I know I have done wrong and today I repent of my sin. I confess that Jesus is Lord and Savior. I believe in my heart that He died for my sins and was raised from the dead just for me. Come into my heart and live in me. I receive your love and am saved from destruction in Jesus name. Amen.

Friend, know today that Jesus loves you and already prepared a way for you to re-connect with Him. If you have not given your life to Him or accepted Him as Lord and Savior, do it now. Recite the prayer of salvation and enter His family. After that, find a church home where the Bible – in its entirety – is being taught and begin to grown in the knowledge of God through His word.
