Stop Hitting the Snooze Button!

Have you found that when you are faced with a huge life decision, the end result is you do nothing at all? Well, this is what I call hitting the snooze button on your life.

This is how it works. Your alarm is set for 7:00 a.m. The music goes off at 7:00 a.m. and immediately you find yourself making excuses to stay in bed. I still feel sleepy, I’m still tired, It’s raining outside, etc. Instead of rising out of the bed, you decide to hit the snooze button and roll over. The only problem is you are now late for your gym session or you will miss your very important morning meeting with your supervisor.

This same scenario can apply to your daily life. The progression of your life is based on the decisions you make. If you are held back by fear, lack of motivation, or mere apathy, your life will surely go nowhere fast.

So here is a quick tip if you find yourself hitting the snooze button, stop it.

Easier said than done right? Ok, here is another tip. Get to the bottom of why you continue to place your life on hold. Is it because of some inner struggle, you are caring for a family member, or any similar situation? Once you figure it out, address the concern head-on. Perhaps, you have a conversation with yourself or that family member and reach a solution to this problem.
